1. If the diesel engine water pump has any glitches, don't let it work.

2. If the packing of the pump shaft is worn out, it must be added in time. If the pump continues to be used, it will leak. The direct effect of this is increased power consumption of the motor and damage to the impeller. If there is strong vibration when using the pump, it must be stopped to check the cause, otherwise it will also cause damage to the pump.

3. When the bottom valve of the diesel pump leaks, some people will use dry soil to fill in the pump inlet pipe, the water rushes to the bottom valve, this practice is not desirable. Because when dry soil is put into the inlet pipe, when the pump starts to work, these dry soil will enter the pump, which will damage the pump impeller and bearings, thus shortening the life of the pump. When the foot valve leaks, it must be repaired. If the situation is serious, it needs to be replaced.

4. After the diesel pump is used, it must be carefully maintained. For example, when the pump is exhausted, the water in the pump must be discharged. It is good to drain the water pipe and then flush it with water. The tape on the water pump should also be removed, then rinsed with water and dried under light. Do not put the tape in a dark and damp place.

5. The tape of the diesel engine water pump should not be oiled or put something sticky on the tape.

6. To carefully check whether there is a crack on the impeller, whether the impeller fixed on the bearing is loose, if there is a crack and loose phenomenon should be repaired in time, if there is a mud impeller on the pump should be cleaned up.
